Your scrap materials may have more value than you realize. Prime Metals & Alloys can help you to upgrade your scrap by converting it into more useful products. We can toll melt your scrap solids, turnings, powder, grindings, etc., and then AOD refine it to produce valuable products for a variety of applications. Materials may be just consolidation melted, or used as base to produce specific grades.

PMA’s standard products that are produced from toll melted materials include bottom poured ingots, master alloys, electrodes, VIM pre-melts, small ingots (pigs), and shot. Customized product forms are also available.

Our shot products are poured, dried, screened to size, and packaged to customer specific requirements. PMA shot products are used in a variety of applications, such as the reclamation of Re, Ta, Pt, Ni, Co, and W from superalloys, raw materials for melting operations, and in bottom poured ingot setups.

Prime Metals offers toll customers scrap sorting services, utilizing portable scrap testing equipment, and scrap drying services.
